In Mystery of the Emblem, promotion gains for HP and weapon level consist of giving the character as many points as necessary—the "x" value shown in the table—to reach the promoted class's base value. If the character's value for one of those two stats is higher than their promoted class's base value, they will not receive any bonus in that stat.

Analysis

This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience.

Jubelo has arguably the best growths in the game for any mage, but his bases are the lowest of all mages in book 2.This will make him very difficult to train especially with his abysmally low weapon level. In the chapter you recruit him you will already have another mage, Linde, and 2 chapters later will recruit the pre-promoted Bishop Wendell. Jubelo is automatically recruited in chapter 4, so there is plenty of time to get a strong mage if you do decide to train him.

Analysis

This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience.

Jubelo is arguably the worst unit in the game. His bases are absolutely terrible for his join time and his high growth rates don't make up for it. He can be useful in his joining chapter for chiping enemies from 2 range, but not much else. Also because of his negative base in magic you can reclass practically any other character into a mage and he'll be a better unit than him. There really isn't much to say about him, he is just a terrible unit.
