A throwing spear used to attack enemies indirectly.

Type

Lance

First game

Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light

The Javelin (Japanese: 手槍 Hand Spear) is a ranged lance which debuted in Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light and appears in every game in the Fire Emblem series. It is the most basic and common of the throwing lances, able to attack at both close and distant range. However, in exchange for this uncommon advantage among lances, it is more difficult to use than basic, close-range lances such as the Iron Lance, typically being slightly weaker, much less accurate, and more difficult if not impossible to use to double-attack.

TCG Fire Emblem 0 (Cipher)

The Javelin is a common skill in Fire Emblem Cipher, found on some lance-wielding cards. Characters who have cards with a Javelin include Caeda, Catria, Shanna, Nephenee, Cordelia, and Emma. The skill has the same effect on all of these cards: until the end of the player's turn, the unit's range is increased to 1-2.
