Hollstadt (Japanese: ホルスタット Hollstadt or ホルサード Holsard) is the Grustian general in charge of guarding the gate to Altea castle, and the boss of chapter 16 of Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light and its remakes, Mystery of the Emblem Book 1 (where it is chapter 13) and Shadow Dragon. Hollstadt and his forces have been tasked with keeping the Archanean League from approaching the Altean castle, but are ultimately defeated. Hollstadt is a former subordinate of Camus, who was original overseer of Altea's occupation until replaced by Morzas, and died saying that "the rest is in [Camus's] hands".

Trivia
- Hollstadt is the only character to be renamed in the DS version. Despite his rename, he is referred to as HORSTATTE internally, which is closer to his original name, and his English name comes from his original name.
- It is implied Hollstadt is a member of the Sable Order; the Paladins around him are labeled Sable in Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, and he uses a black color scheme in that game.
- Shadow Dragon is the first game where Hollstadt's portrait was not a re-use of the Harmein type portrait.
