Hex (Shadows of Valentia)
It has been proposed that this page be merged into Hex. Please discuss this change on the talk page. Reason: What exactly is there to be gained by having these split? All it accomplishes is making it so that someone looking for FE15 info will have to do an extra click. |

Hex (Japanese: 呪い Curse) is a skill which debuted in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. A passive skill linked to the Shadow Sword and Devil Axe, Hex gives the user of the weapon bearing it a chance to damage themselves instead of their target as a result of their strike. However, it is negated by the Dread Fighter's Antihex ability.
Technically speaking, this effect has existed in the series long before Echoes: Shadows of Valentia made it a formalized skill. Weapons with this effect have featured in many previous games, and first appeared in Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light, the very first game in the Fire Emblem series, as an attribute of the Devil Axe and Devil Sword.
