Hero-King Marth
Hero-King Marth (Japanese: 英雄王マルス Hero-King Marth) is a Hero Battle in Fire Emblem Fates, activated by scanning the Marth amiibo for the third time. It pits the player against Marth and some units, known as "Illusions", described as the shades of former soldiers, who represent the starting party of Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light. It takes place on the map of chapter 6.

Plot

Hero-King Marth/Script
After meeting and befriending Corrin, Marth, the prince of Altea from another world, decides to test Corrin's mettle and deepen their friendship by sparring with them in battle. Corrin's party defeats Marth and his illusions; impressed, Marth offers to join Corrin in their quest. Corrin initially has some reservations over Marth leaving behind his own adventures to be with Corrin, but is eventually persuaded by Marth to accept his request to be their new comrade-in-arms.
Summary
Marth, a traveler from another world, has called Corrin to meet him in battle. He wants to have his skills tested—so let the test begin!

Trivia
- The theme that plays when in combat against Marth, "Path of the Hero-King", is a mix of "Strike!" and "Trouble!" from Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, as well as "Early Initiative" from Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem, both games in which Marth is the main character.
