From Fire Emblem Wiki, your source on Fire Emblem information. By fans, for fans.

If you are a new editor, this is a guide for you to where to start if you do not know what to edit. As you start as an autoconfirmed user, your first tool is editing.

Editing a page

  • Edit: Clicking it will bring you to the start editing a page.
  • History: Clicking it will allow you to read the history of users' edits to the page.
  • Purge cache: Clicking it will refresh its page.

Edit buttons

  • This is a minor edit: Checking the box indicates if the edit you made is a small change.
  • Watch this page: Checking this box will let you be notified about the changes to the page.
  • Summary: A small text space where you leave notes on your changes on the page.
  • Show preview: Shows what the article will look like when you make changes to the article.
  • Show changes: Shows the differences between the unedited page and your changes.
  • Save changes: Officially publishes your edits onto the article.

An article is broken down into sections. Sections explain the specific topic to the reader.

Creating a page

Only autoconfirmed users can create a page. To be autoconfirmed, you have to be registered for 4 days and made 10 edits. When you are creating a page, you will be asked a Captcha question; you have to answer the question before publishing it. If you failed to answer the question correctly, the page will save your changes and generate another question to answer.

Talk page

Clicking the "Talk" button with two speech bubbles icon will bring you to the article's talk page.

To create a new topic, click the plus button. As you create your first topic, you can type anything related to your talk topic. The "Subject" section is where you create a title of your topic.

If you want to reply to a topic, click the "Edit" button next to the topic's heading. Under the response you are replying to, use a colon (:). If someone made a reply already and you want to continue the conversation, use two colons (::). If someone made a second reply, add an extra colon (:::).

At the end of the text you typed, you add four tildes ~~~~. This will let readers know who responded.
