Guardian (Mystery of the Emblem)
From Fire Emblem Wiki, your source on Fire Emblem information. By fans, for fans.
The Guardian (Japanese: ガーディアンGuardian, or しゅごしんGuardian God) is a class that has never made an official appearance in the Fire Emblem series. While data for the Guardian class is present in Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, it is never used, and the class is not present in any form in any other installment. Its appearance is taken from that of a General, with gray armor. The Guardian's map sprite depicts the class carrying a lance, though the Guardian is not able to wield weapons of any type.
The Guardian's name strings used in the status screen (ガーディアン) and battle screen (しゅごしん) are completely different. Some classes use abbreviated names for the battle screen, but the Guardian's two names do not resemble each other at all.
In Japanese, the term "Guardian God" is a title given to Naga and Salamander, "gods" of the divine and fire dragon tribes respectively.
