The Grappler (Japanese: グラップラー Grappler) is an advanced class which debuted in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. It is the successor of the earlier Brawler class.
Like the Brawler before it, the Grappler specializes in brawling, though it eschews the former's proficiency in axes in favor of purely hand-to-hand combat. It boasts good speed and dexterity along with solid strength and above-average movement for an infantry class. Its high HP additionally gives it respectable staying power, making it a solid front-line class. It is, however, limited by much the same constraints as its predecessor: it lacks good ranged capabilities, and, though this is mitigated slightly by its mastery ability Tomebreaker, it additionally suffers from poor resistance, making it weak against magic users and other ranged units.
