Gheb (Japanese: ゲブ Gebu) is a boss appearing in Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. He is a Grado commander and strategist tasked with guarding the Grado-Frelia border fortress known as Rigwald.

Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones

Role

Gheb is the boss of Chapter 9 of Ephraim's route.

He is the commander leading the defense of the strategic Fort Rigwald. Shortly before the arrival of Ephraim's invading forces he captures Tana. After Tana's capture, several of his subordinates, including Amelia, voice their disapproval of the war between Grado and the rest of Magvel, but Gheb quashes the dissent with threats. Later, he intends to spend the evening "interrogating" Tana[1] but his plans are thrown askew when Ephraim launches his full assault on the fortress.

Despite is his confidence in his abilities, he ends up losing Fort Rigwald and is slain by Ephraim's forces.

Personality and character

Gheb is an extremely arrogant and self-absorbed leader who openly does not care at all for the lives of his subordinates; when one of his soldiers questioned the war, Gheb threatened the soldier that, if he didn't follow orders, he would be burned at the stake.[2] Gheb is also under the impression that he is a valued brilliant tactician of Grado,[3] though it is unclear how highly ranked he actually is.

Soldier: B-but– It's not just me! Even General Duessel is opposed to this war!

    Soldier: Y-you are, Sir Gheb.
Gheb: That's right. So that should make it clear whose orders you follow, eh? You got that, dolts? If you do, then shut up and get in formation. No one cares whether you minnows live or die anyway. Got it?
