“ | You poor thing. Orphaned...at such a tender young age. You are my child now. | ” | — Garon, to the infant Corrin |

Garon (Japanese: ガロン, Garon) is a character in Fire Emblem Fates. He is the ruler of Nohr. Like all other Nohrian and Hoshidian royalty, he possesses the power of Dragon Vein, being able to alter the terrain around oneself.
Fire Emblem Fates
Role
Garon is an antagonistic figure in both routes of Fire Emblem Fates. However, the Garon present throughout the events of Fates is not the original. The original Garon was replaced by Anankos with a water Familiar, planted in Nohr to bring the country into conflict with Hoshido, spreading chaos and destruction.

Personality and character
This section has been marked as a stub. Please help improve the page by adding information.
During the game Garon is a brutal and paranoid man, with a lust for power and control. He is blunt and does not tolerate insubordination. He is quick to order his children to step in and get the job done.
According to a support conversation between Leo and Elise, Garon was not as cold towards his children as he is now. Leo mentions he went through a change of personality before Elise was old enough to remember his kindness.[2] Presumably, this was when he was replaced with a monster.

Leo: Hmm. Well, before Queen Arete passed away, I'd say he was a gentle father.
Elise: Gentle?! No way! I can't even imagine him like that.
Leo:I know. If I were you, I wouldn't believe it either. But I used to be fond of Father. He even gave me piggyback rides whenever I asked!
Elise: What?! I'm so jealous! He never treated me like that! What else?!
Leo: He was a courageous person. He'd even ride out to battle on the front lines. Obviously, I never saw him do so myself, but that's what I've been told. But I did see him spar. He was so strong... I couldn't help but believe the stories." — Elise and Leo in a support conversation, Fire Emblem Fates
