Frelia (Japanese: フレリア Frelia) is one of the countries in Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. It is located in the northwest of Magvel it borders Carcino and Renais to the southeast and Grado to the south.

History

Founding

Frelia is one of the centuries-old countries of Magvel that possesses a Sacred Stone. Some time after the first war with the Demon King, the Tower of Valni was built to house the country's Sacred Stone.

Modern Day

The Frelian knights Vanessa and Syrene, with Innes and Tana.

Frelia shares good relations with Renais. The Princess of Frelia, Tana, the Princess of Renais, Eirika, get along particularly well.

Hayden is the current ruler of Frelia, and Innes is the next in line for the throne.

Modern day Frelia is also well known for it's pegasus-riding troops, featuring the most pegasus knights of any country on Magvel. Frelia is also well known for its exports of fish and other seafoods.[1]

During the War of the Stones Frelia and its king Hayden aided Eirika after her escape from Grado's invasion. Frelia's famous intricate spy networks, with numerous spies reporting to Hayden and Innes on Grado's movements and plans, were presumably a deciding factor in the country's ability to fight off Grado's advances.[2] Frelia was one of Renais' first allies during the war, and aided Renais throughout the war's entirety.

  2. "I've heard that Prince Innes of Frelia is a fantastic tactician. Grado took Renais with no trouble, but Frelia still has yet to fall. They say it's because Prince Innes has spies reporting every move the empire makes. At the same time, all enemy spies in Frelia are exposed and executed swiftly. That means that none of Frelia's secrets are ever reported back to the empire. I've never met Prince Innes, but he doesn't sound like a man you'd want as an enemy." — A villager in Chapter 10 A, Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
