Foreign Land and Sky

From Fire Emblem Wiki, your source on Fire Emblem information. By fans, for fans.

Foreign Land and Sky (Japanese: 異境の空と地と Sky and Earth of a Foreign Land) is a paralogue chapter in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. It is available from Chapter 15 to Chapter 17 Silver Snow/Chapter 21 Azure Moon/Chapter 18 Verdant Wind on non-Crimson Flower routes, and from Chapter 15 to Chapter 17 on the Crimson Flower route. In order to attempt this paralogue, the player must have recruited both Petra and Bernadetta, and both must not have fallen in battle previously. In this chapter, Petra sets out to secure Brigid's aid in the war, bringing Bernadetta along for the ride.

Plot

Main article: Foreign Land and Sky/Script

Byleth and Petra find Bernadetta enjoying a moment of solitude in the library, and Petra and Bernadetta get into a brief discussion about Bernadetta's reclusion. Petra explains that Imperial   /Church  forces are attempting to threaten Brigid into joining the war on their side, and she intends to return home to drive them off. Byleth browbeats Bernadetta into joining them, and the group sets out for Brigid. As they approach Petra's grandfather's palace, enemy forces led by Hubert/Catherine waylay them. Byleth and co. defeat the enemies and force their commander to retreat. Afterwards, Petra successfully secures Brigid's aid in the war while Bernadetta gets several drawings of foreign plants.

Beginning log

The war in Fódlan has put Brigid in a precarious position. With Bernadetta in tow, Petra returns to her homeland in hopes of avoiding a confrontation with her grandfather.

Strategy

This section details unofficial strategies that may help with completion of the chapter. This may not work for everybody.

The first part of this map is fairly simple as long as you maintain a brisk pace. The enemies only aggro in small bites and only when you move into their attack ranges, meaning you can advance down the west side easily. Make your way to the stronghold and place Petra on it to spawn some friendly Brigid soldiers. As you approach the target at the southeast corner, the real trouble begins. Three groups of enemies spawn, and if any of their commanders reach the target, it's game over. Hubert is particularly dangerous on non-Crimson Flower routes since he will use his Meteor to delete one of your units. Bum-rush him with a strong flier and get him before he gets you. The eastern Assassin commander is also dangerous since he can move right through forests and will reach the target within three turns. Send your fastest-moving units to intercept them before it's too late (and if you have a Meteor or Bolting of your own to spare, so much the better). Once you've taken out the reinforcements, the battle is yours.

Trivia

  • This is the only paralogue in the game which shows notable changes between Crimson Flower and non-Crimson Flower routes.
