Flora (Japanese: フローラ Flora) is a maid working under Corrin. She is Felicia's elder twin sister. Flora is a more capable vassal than her sister, and is more serious in personality than her.

Biography

Flora is the older twin sister of Felicia and a maid for the Nohr royal family, serving Corrin. She is the eldest daughter of the Ice Tribe's chieftain, Kilma.

Analysis

This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience.

Flora joins in the lategame as a pre-promoted Maid. She has decent stats all around, but will be nowhere near fully-trained units by this point. Her primary role is as a filler healer, a role she does quite well in thanks to her B staff level and Troubadour base class. Flora has the option of remaining in Maid and using two Arms Scrolls to act as a last resort Bifröst user for the endgame, or of reclassing to Strategist for the mobility of a mount. Her other reclass options are not very useful – the only obtainable skill that fits in her typical support role is the Bow Knight's Rally Skill, and none of her reclass options share weapon levels with her default Maid, forcing her to grind up from E. At the very least, her class set gives her access to four breaker skills at once, but this is generally far more trouble than it is worth.

On the Conquest route, Flora is the only first-generation marriage option for male Corrin with no major drawbacks. Male Corrin marrying any of the other first-generation females prevents at least one potential father from having children; marrying Niles prevents both from having children; and Anna is defunct paid DLC. If the player does not wish to marry Corrin to any of the second generation characters while still attaining all of them, Flora cleanly enables this.

Fire Emblem Heroes

Role

There are two different variations of Flora available to Heroes, both of which are tied to her storyline appearance in Fates. The normal variation of Flora is one of the characters added to the game in the A Way Home update, and became available for summoning by players on September 14, 2018. A picnic variation of Flora was made available between April 19, 2019 and May 19, 2019 as part of the summoning event surrounding the launch of the A Season for Picnics update.

The normal variation of Flora is the first character in Heroes to become part of the regular summoning pool to not wield a weapon type that was part of the game at Heroes's initial launch, being the initial wielder of red daggers, added to the game alongside the earlier Festival in Hoshido update.

Trivia

• Flora is the only one of Corrin's retainers who does not possess an effect equivalent to any number of built-in Eternal Seals, and thus will initially stop their experience growth at level 20 (40 if reclassed into a special class such as Grandmaster), as opposed to being able to go on to level 30 as Gunter can, or to level 40 as Felicia and Jakob can.
• Flora is the only retainer of Corrin that can actually die if she is defeated in Classic Mode. All the other retainers (including Gunter) simply retreat if they are defeated.
