On Fire Emblem Wiki, our goal is to create an accurate, complete base of information about the Fire Emblem series. Anyone who creates an account can edit, and the content is completely free. However, we must collect certain information about editors to improve the wiki, such as screen resolution, browser, operating system, etc. All edits are logged on the database, with the user and time of editing always kept on record.
Fire Emblem Wiki's privacy policy details the nature of the data we collect from our users, and who may access this data. If you do not agree to the terms of this policy, you may not access Fire Emblem Wiki.

Any personal information, such as name, age, phone number, etc. posted on the wiki is public to anyone. Share this information at your own risk. Additionally, information inputted during registration is collected as well. Fire Emblem Wiki is not responsible for any direct results of such actions.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding our collection and use of data, please contact a bureaucrat, either on their talk page, or via social media.

Session data
All content on Fire Emblem Wiki is open to the public for viewing and editing. Session data may be recorded by Fire Emblem Wiki, such as IP address, browser, operating system, screen resolution, and location. We use this information to help improve the quality of our services, and will never distribute it to third parties without the approval of the relevant users.

Personal and account data
When you create an account on Fire Emblem Wiki, we record data such as your username, email address, and any other details you choose to provide, in order for our systems to identify you. By registering an account on Fire Emblem Wiki, you agree to allow us to record such data. You may access and edit your data by visiting Special:Preferences while logged in. This data will never be shared with any third parties, and we will endeavor to ensure that users' data is kept secure insofar as is reasonably possible.

Fire Emblem Wiki will not under any circumstances share details about its individual members with any third parties, but reserves the rights to use collected information as a basis for site demographics, which may, in given situations, be proposed to potential advertisers and sponsors.  Do note that if you decide to post personal information (age, name, address, etc.) on your user page, you are doing so at your own risk.
However, Fire Emblem Wiki cannot be held responsible for any personal data posted publicly (age, name, address, etc.); e.g. on users' personal pages. We recommend that you do not share any more personal information than is absolutely necessary.

Fire Emblem Wiki is not responsible for anything that occurs as a result of this information being posted, and recommends that you not reveal a large amount of personal information. Fire Emblem Wiki may not be held responsible for, or under any circumstances be associated with the opinions expressed by, the content of all editable pages, as these are community endeavors and their directions sometimes make unexpected, and inappropriate, detours from their original intent.
User accounts cannot be deleted. When you register an account on Fire Emblem Wiki, you agree to allow us to retain all necessary data indefinitely.

The staff of Fire Emblem Wiki, however, pledges to moderate these pages to the best of its abilities and ensure inappropriate content and opinions are not displayed on the website, as our intentions are to be a web site suitable for people of all ages.  In a similar fashion, we cannot be held responsible or directly associated with the advertisements shown at our site, as they are served through a third party network. We will, however, do everything in our power to limit these ads to those which are suitable for people of all ages and, in the event that Fire Emblem Wiki is informed of inappropriate advertising, certainly bring such an issue up with the advertising companies that sponsor it.
Editing
When you post an edit to a page, the system will record your username, and all content you add, remove, or change. This data is publicly accessible for anyone to view or distribute, and once an edit is posted, this data is released irrevocably under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License 1.3. By posting an edit, you agree to this data being recorded and released. If you do not agree, please do not submit edits to the wiki.

If you have any questions regarding Fire Emblem Wiki's privacy policies, please use the administrators page to get in touch with one of Fire Emblem Wiki's many knowledgeable team members, who will be more than happy to answer them for you.
Content submitted to the wiki is the work of our editors; as such, Fire Emblem Wiki's owners and staff cannot be held responsible for content posted to articles that may be considered offensive or misleading, or which may expose private data. However, the staff will promise to attempt to monitor all incoming contributions, and to remove any such content as soon as is possible.
