Fire Emblem Cipher/All-Out March of the Heroes

From Fire Emblem Wiki, your source on Fire Emblem information. By fans, for fans.

All-Out March of the Heroes (Japanese: 英雄総進軍 All-Out March of the Heroes) is the seventeenth booster series released for Fire Emblem Cipher. It primarily features characters from all but two games from the greater Fire Emblem series to the point of its release, the exceptions being Fire Emblem: Archanea Saga and Warriors. This series was released alongside one associated starter deck, Warriors of Bonds Chapter, on June 27, 2019 in Japan. The retail price for individual booster packs is ¥350 plus tax.

The booster pack's packaging.

This booster series is part of season 5, and will no longer be legal in competitive play sometime in mid-2023.

As with all of Cipher, the cards featured here has been printed only in Japanese and have only been released in Japan.

Overview

This booster series, drawing from most of the greater Fire Emblem series and boasting a size larger than the standard 100 cards, does not feature any standard divisions. All of the continental color denotations introduced to that point are represented, with the eight symbols ordered in the order they were first introduced into the game; colorless cards are splashed throughout the entire set, mostly those that also appear in the associated starter deck:

  • The first portion of the set (cards 1-17) includes cards based on characters from Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light, Mystery of the Emblem, Shadow Dragon, New Mystery of the Emblem, Gaiden, and Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, and make usage of  ; characters from Archanea appear earlier in the list than characters from Valentia.
  • The second portion of the set (cards 18-32) includes cards based on characters from Awakening as well as one from Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE who makes use of an Awakening-based Mirage, and make usage of  .
  • The third portion of the set (cards 33-46) includes cards based on characters from Hoshido or prominent in the Birthright route of Fates and make usage of  .
  • The fourth portion of the set (cards 47-60) includes cards based on characters from Nohr or prominent in the Conquest route of Fates and make usage of  .
  • The fifth portion of the set (cards 61-75) includes cards based on characters from Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn, and make usage of  .
  • The sixth portion of the set (cards 76-94) includes cards based on characters from The Binding Blade, The Blazing Blade, and The Sacred Stones, and make usage of  ; characters from Roy's era of Elibe appear earliest, followed by characters from Eliwood's era of Elibe and then characters from Magvel.
  • The seventh portion of the set (cards 95-109) includes cards based on characters from Genealogy of the Holy War and Thracia 776, and make usage of  ; characters from Sigurd's generation of Genealogy of the Holy War precede characters from Thracia 776, with Seliph's generation of Genealogy of the Holy War conspicuously absent from this set.
  • The eighth portion of the set (cards 110-112) includes cards based on characters from Three Houses and make usage of  .
  • The ninth portion of the set (cards 113-115) include one card based on a character from Heroes and two cards based on Cipher's original two mascots; these cards are colorless and do not make usage of a continental denotation.

Card list

The series features a total of 115 normal cards, as well as 8 alternate foil prints.

For more information on each card see the Fire Emblem Cipher section on the respective character page.

The cards' epithets are still in raw, untranslated Japanese; these need translation.

Trivia

  • This booster series is the first one to not include exactly 100 cards therein; in this case, it includes 115 cards.
    • It is also the first booster series since series four where none of the foil alternate R+ and SR+ cards have alternate artwork from their non-foil normal R and SR versions.
    • It is also the first booster series since Cipher's mascots first joined the cardpool in series two which does not have exactly four cards in the set dedicated to the mascots (in this case, only two cards depict Cipher mascots), and also the first booster series in which any of Cipher's mascots' cards are of any rarity higher than HN (in this case, both Emma's and Shade's cards are Rs).
  • A number of sources imply that this booster series draws from every game in the greater Fire Emblem series; even this booster series's own product listing on the official Japanese Cipher website[1] makes this implication at points, despite fully listing out the represented titles at one point and Fire Emblem: Archanea Saga and Warriors (the former having not been a stated focus of any booster series to that point) were not among them.
