Analysis

This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience.

While a useful unit in the early game where the player's options for anti-air and long-range engagements are otherwise limited, Etie shows little promise in the long term. Looking at bases and growths combined, her stats among the worst in the game, except for a respectable 40% strength growth, which still can't keep her from being outclassed by the likes of Céline and Chloé in any role imaginable, and Alcryst (another infantry bow-locked unit) immediately invalidates Etie by being promotion ready at base before the player even acquires their first Master Seal, a more useful strength-boosting personal skill, access to Luna, and is overall a strong long-term investment. Permanently benching Etie after chapter 8 may be a sound strategic decision.

Still, if desired, she can be developed into a (barely) competitive bruiser with sufficient investment. Since Etie's magic will never be good while strength is her trump card, the obvious path is promotion into Warrior which combined with Tiki's blessing will give 75/50/65 growths in Str/Dex/Spd and well-balanced (if still somewhat low) growths in HP/Def/Res – unfortunately at the cost of temporarily monopolizing said blessing, which will hinder growth of other, better units unless the player manages level-ups diligently. Also, even after many level-ups with this setup, Etie may struggle to double faster enemies or make a dent in heavily armored ones, and have second-rate durability. Finally, while Warrior's strength growth makes it a tempting mid-game class, it has a suboptimal movement of 5, so a subsequent reclass to Wolf, Bow, or Griffin Knight for the late game should be considered.

Etie is one of the characters added to the game in the King of Light update, and was initially made available to players as both a login bonus and quest reward starting on January 17, 2023, as part of the events celebrating the release of Fire Emblem Engage. Only one variation of Etie is currently available in Heroes, based on her Engage incarnation.

Besides serving Firene with her own strength, Etie bulked up its soldiers with a regimen of weight training and muscle stimulants.
Some said this was at odds with the nation's pacifist ethos, but it was celebrated in her hometown, where to this day, orange flowers are grown in her honor.

Divine Dragon Alear & Fitness Fighter Etie
Alear became the new Divine Dragon Monarch. His/Her bonds with the rulers of each nation resulted in lasting peace.
Etie frequently planted flowers to help restore Lythos. She and the Divine Dragon Monarch were often seen happily spending time in the flower fields.
