History

Elusia, known as the kingdom of knowledge, is ruled by King Hyacinth. Elusia was given the ring of the Lady of the Plains after Sombron was sealed. Although the people of Elusia were once followers of the Divine Dragon like all other countries of Elyos, in the years leading up to the events of Engage, many Elusians have come to worship the Fell Dragon instead.

In the present-day Elyos, Elusia is subject to invasions from the neighbouring kingdom of Brodia. According to Alcryst, the reason for the invasions is the perceived unpredictability of Elusia.

Firene is described as having no significant ties to Elusia due to the distance between the countries. According to Bunet, Elusia has exported food to Solm before the events of Engage.

Notable locations in Elusia

Elusia Castle

Elusia Castle

Elusia Castle is the capital of Elusia, and the home of King Hyacinth, Crown Princess Ivy, and princess Hortensia. After the death of King Hyacinth, the castle was taken over by the Four Hounds, who would use it as their bast of operations. Elusia Castle is where Alear, and their forces, faced off against Griss of the Four Hounds, who would inform them that Alear was, in fact, the child of the fell dragon Sombron.

Destinea Cathedral

Destinea Cathedral

Destinea Cathedral is a massive cathedral located near central Elusia. After killing King Morion, King Hyacinth brought his body there to ritually sacrifice him to the fell dragon Sombron. The cathedral is where Alear, and their forces, would face off against Hyacinth and the corrupted King Morion, and the place where the Brodian princes would say their goodbyes to him. After their battle, Sombron would also consume King Hyacinth to regain even more of his power. This would lead to the hooded figure, now revealed to be Veyle, stealing the six Emblem Rings Alear had managed to collect thus far, along with the draconic time crystal. Despite being severely outnumbered, Alear's forces would manage to escape with the Four Hounds in hot pursuit.

Shadowy Moor

The Shadowy Moor is a forest located south of Destinea Cathedral. The Shadowy Moor used to be a place filled with bandits and evil spirits, but King Hyacinth's reign changed that. After Alear makes their escape from Destinea Cathedral, they flee through the Shadowy Moor, pursued by Veyle and the Four Hounds. This is where Alear was assisted by Ivy, and her retainers Kagetsu and Zelkov, who had reclaimed the draconic time crystal, and the Rings of the Princess Exhalt, and the Lady of the Plains.

Givre Port

Veyle and Mauvier in givre port.

Givre Port is a large port town on the western shore of Elusia, and is responsible for a large part of the country's exports, including food exported to Solm. During the second fell dragon war, the port was devastated and all its inhabitants were turned to corrupted. The port was also where Alear would face off against Marni and Mauvier of the Four Hounds, and finally gain their favor in the fight against the fell dragon, as well as reclaim the Rings of the Dawn Maiden, and the Young Lion.

Sacred Tomb

The Sacred Tomb is a tomb located near the shores of eastern Elusia. According to Emblem Byleth, it greatly resembles the Holy Tomb of Garreg Mach Monastery, where he faced off against the Flame Emperor to reveal their true identity. This is the location of Emblem Byleth's challenge to Alear.

The location is based on chapter 13 of Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

Frozen Fortress

The Frozen Fortress is a fortress located near the northern tip of Elusia. According to Emblem Micaiah, it greatly resembles Nox Castle where she faced off against her future ally Ike. This is the location of Emblem Micaiah's challenge to Alear.

The location is based on part 3, chapter 13 of Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn.

River of Light and Dark

The River of Light and Dark is a group of castles near a river located on the southern edge of Elusia. According to Emblem Sigurd, it greatly resembles his homeland of Chalphy. This is the location of Emblem Sigurd's challenge to Alear.

The location is based on chapter 10 of Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War.

Mage Academy

Mage Academy is an academy located somewhere in Elusia. According to Elusian law, all children have to leave for the academy once they reach a certain age. The academy is attended by Hortensia and her retainers Goldmary and Rosado. Ivy is also an alumni of the academy. The highest class at the academy is called the advanced class.

Mage Dragon Village

The Mage Dragon Village was a village located somewhere in Elusia, and was the home of the mage dragons, like Zephia, and Veyle's mother. According to Zelestia, Elusia Castle was visible from the village. The village was destroyed 1,000 years before the start of the game either by Zephia in the base campaign or by Sombron in the Fell Xenologue. Regardless of the campaign all of the mage dragons save Zephia/Zelestia where killed in its destruction.

Hasaude Cathedral

Hasaude Cathedral is a cathedral in the parallel Elusia, where the parallel Ivy would attempt to resurrect her version of Sombron, but she would be interrupted by the Solmic army.
