Sprite of the elixir in Radiant Dawn.

A potion that restores all HP when consumed.

Type

Item

First game

Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade

The Elixir is the best healing item in the Fire Emblem series, having first appeared in The Binding Blade and appearing in all but two games since (skipping Shadow Dragon and Echoes: Shadows of Valentia); in most of its appearances, it can recover all HP of any unit. It is highly expensive, but in most games at least it can be used three times. The Elixir can be seen as a continuation of the Thracia 776 iteration of the Vulnerary, which had the same effect.

The Fates version of the Elixir is weaker than other incarnations; although still the best healing item in the game, it now restores only 40 HP and can only be used one time before disappearing from the inventory. The Heroes version of the Elixir is an item usable only in the Arena Assault mode, and is a powerful item capable of restoring a very large amount of HP to all of the player's units.
