Drained Tome
From Fire Emblem Wiki, your source on Fire Emblem information. By fans, for fans.
The Drained Tome (Japanese: きえたまどう書 Vanished Magic Book) is a magic tome appearing in the two games of the Fire Emblem series taking place in Jugdral. Whenever a tome in either game has their remaining uses depleted, it becomes a Drained Tome. A tome cannot be used to attack at all in this broken state, and must be repaired in order to regain its functionality, at a blacksmith in Genealogy of the Holy War or by the Repair staff in Thracia 776.
No game taking place outside Jugdral includes Drained Tomes, and instead tomes whose uses deplete are simply removed from the inventory.

Vanished Magic Book; in the context of fire, 消えた means to have gone out, so in this sense, it could be translated as "Extinguished Magic Book", "Burnt Out Magic Book", or the like. This name is used only in Genealogy of the Holy War; Thracia 776 instead uses the name of the tome that broke.
