Distant Foil (Japanese: 金剛の反撃・遠距離 Long-Distance Vajra Counterattack) is a passive type A skill which debuted in Fire Emblem Heroes; unlike most passive skills in Heroes, Distant Foil comes in only one tier. Contrary to what its name implies, Distant Foil does not deal specifically with range-2 targets; Distant Foil boosts its wielder's Attack and Defense during combat when a target wielding a sword, lance, axe, any color of bow, any color of dagger, or any color of beast skill initiates combat against its wielder, and also allows its wielder to counterattack regardless of its target's range.
