Disowned by Time (Japanese: 時の迷い子 Child Lost in Time) is the twelfth paralogue chapter in Fire Emblem Awakening. As a paralogue chapter, its events are not integral to the game's main storyline and can be done at the player's leisure. The chapter is unlocked after both clearing chapter 13 and have Robin married. There are no additional requirements to reach the chapter, as the chapter connects to the area chapter 12 took place at.
In this chapter, a youth with a case of amnesia has appeared in a set of ruins crawling with Risen, and it is up to Chrom and the Shepherds, who are searching for a treasure in the area, to protect this youth. As it turns out, the youth is the child of a Shepherd with a very sharp mind.
Plot

Disowned by Time/Script - The above page quote and below plot correspond to the use of a female Robin. If you refresh this page, it is possible to get an alternate reading using a male Avatar instead.
Within a set of ruins in far northwestern Ferox, we witness a young boy named Morgan wondering where he is and how he ended up in the area.
We cut to Chrom and Robin in another area of the ruins, with Robin wondering if this is the place where they should be at, with Chrom stating it has to be; townsfolk in the area speak of ruins in these parts that carry the legacy of the divine dragon, neglecting to mention that the place is crawling with Risen, Chrom stating that they're going to have to earn their treasure the old-fashioned way. Preparations take place at this point.
Once preparations are finished, Morgan hears footsteps and deduces they are not friendly, and very likely down the stairs; he asks himself to think, what would his mother handle the situation. The battle begins at this point; the reinforcements Morgan hinted at begin showing up after two full turns of combat.
Morgan can be spoken to with either Chrom or Robin, and if spoken to with Chrom, can initiate one of two different conversations depending on whether or not he is Morgan's father. If Robin speaks to Morgan, Robin will notice that Morgan doesn't look like a treasure hunter and asks him what brings him to this area; Morgan reveals that he was beginning to think he'd gotten separated from Robin, referring to her as his mother in the process, to which Robin is surprised to hear. Morgan states no harm has been done, and they can at least head home now—then states the air agrees with Robin, as she looks at least a decade younger; Robin asks that Morgan go back to the "mother" comment and asks him if he travelled back from the future with Lucina. Morgan will ask who Lucina is, and asks if Robin seriously asked him if he came from the future, then notices Robin is looking at him funny; Morgan then states himself as Robin's son—love of her life, strapping young lad, and all that, then notices Robin has been acting strange. Morgan tells Robin that he should get her home and in bed, yet doesn't know which way is home; he then gets a headache. Robin tells Morgan to be easy and not try to force things, then asking him to stay calm and listen to her—he may think she sounds mad, but Robin believes Morgan may have come here from the future; Morgan ask Robin if she is out of her mind, that it's not even possible. Robin states that such is possible, and to think about things—Morgan said she looked younger, but Robin asks him to look again closely—does Robin appear to be of an age where she could have a child as old as Morgan is, then reveals that at this point in the current timeframe, Morgan hasn't yet been born. Morgan states that Robin does look younger; Robin says it's hard and that he doesn't have to believe her right this minute, but right now he must come with her, that it's dangerous alone especially if his memory is gone. Robin reveals she was in the same position once, and if Chrom hadn't found her lying in that field, who knows what would have happened? Upon hearing that Robin has also woken up in a field, Morgan concludes it's like mother, like son, finding things funny; Robin is glad that Morgan inherited her blithe outlook, and asks him to stay close, to which Morgan agrees. Should Chrom speak to Morgan and he is not Morgan's father, Morgan will ask Chrom who he is, to which Chrom says he'd ask him the same and, more importantly, why he is here—this area is hardly safe enough to be wandering around alone. Morgan says he doesn't know, that he woke up sprawled in a field and can't recall anything before that, to which Chrom says the situation looks familiar; Morgan says he thinks he remembers his name, proceeding to introduce himself, to which Chrom does likewise and states that finding amnesiacs is apparently a special talent of his—he met Robin under the same circumstances. Upon hearing Robin's name, Morgan asks if she is a tactician, to which Chrom confirms, then asks Morgan if he knows her; Morgan states he does, and that she's his mother—then asks Chrom if he really found Robin lying unconscious. Chrom states it wasn't in this area, but the Shepherds did find Robin lying in a field without memories quite awhile ago; Chrom then concludes that, if Morgan is Robin's son, that he must have come from the future. Morgan dismisses the possibility, stating that people can't travel through time, then is about to state what would happen if time travel were possible when he gets a headache. Chrom asks Morgan to take it easy and stay calm, then asks Morgan to come with him for now—he can speak to Robin later to clear things up, to which Morgan thanks him and asks him not to worry, he can defend himself provided Chrom leads the way. Should Chrom speak to Morgan and he is Morgan's father, the conversation plays out the same way as previously until Morgan states that Robin is his mother; upon hearing that, and after tripping over a few words, Chrom asks Morgan to stay calm and listen to him—Robin is his wife, which means Morgan is likely his son that came from the future. Upon hearing this, Morgan first has trouble speaking and then wonders if this is how he lost his memory, yet he remembers his mother, then asks Chrom why he doesn't remember him. Chrom states he doesn't know why, then asks Morgan if he recalls a sister named Lucina, to which Morgan denies remembering; Chrom states it's a blessing that Morgan at least remembers his mother, and that maybe something will come back once he's met with her and Lucina, and until then, it's best Morgan goes with Chrom—staying close, as Chrom doesn't want him hurt. Morgan thanks Chrom and asks that he not worry, he can defend himself, just as long as Chrom leads the way. Once the chosen conversation ends, the player may control Morgan at this point.
Once the battle ends, Chrom and Robin notice a divine object, and Chrom concludes that it must be Naga's Tear and he can feel the power coursing through it. Lissa jumps into the conversation and states that Naga's Tear should keep them safe in the battles to come, to which Chrom says he hopes she's right.
Morgan then tells Robin that what's going on is a lot to take in, to which Robin states that it's everything they know about the current situation at this point. Morgan asks if the future he came from is in ruins, and if Robin is sure about that; Robin states that one possible future is indeed in ruins, yet Morgan may hail from another path and that the Shepherds are fighting to ensure nobody's future is lost—unfortunately, if Morgan joins up, it'll mean more fighting for him as well. Morgan says he understands, then apologizes to Robin, revealing that even after hearing everything, he remembers nothing but her; Robin asks Morgan not to apologize, they'll pull his memory back bit by bit if they have to—and if Morgan starts apologizing, Robin will have to do so as well, as her own past is still full of holes yet she is getting along, and that Morgan will as well. Morgan states that as long as Robin is with him, the rest will work itself out; he tells Robin to come along, they've got a future that needs saving, to which Robin states Morgan really does take after her. Morgan then reveals that there is one other thing he remembers—he's strived to become a great tactician like Robin; even though the ongoing war is terrible, at least now he can learn from her firsthand. Robin tells Morgan that he's nothing if not optimistic—wherever or whenever he came from, she's glad he made it here, to which Morgan agrees.

As a paralogue chapter, there is no set timeframe in which the chapter must be taken on; thus, it is possible to have recruited more characters than the above by the point the chapter is started. The returning characters list also does not include any characters recruitable in other paralogues, as the player may not have taken on any other available paralogue chapters yet. The list also does not include any bonus units, as they are recruitable at the player's discretion.

Trivia
- If the player is using a male Robin, this chapter is the only child paralogue that unlocks upon marrying off a male character. The only other male fixed parent, Chrom, has his designated child join the party within the main plotline as opposed to a dedicated paralogue chapter.
- If one looks at the world map of Awakening and compares it to the world maps from Marth's time, it appears that this chapter takes place at the same location as Thabes. This may imply that the Ruins of Time are the remains of Thabes.
- The Naga's Tear item being located here may further support this, as Naga is said to have passed away at Thabes.[1]
