“ | Umm... It was... over there! Yeah, that's where I found it. I betcha one of the gods dropped 'er outta the sky just for you! | ” | — Dew, on finding a staff for Adean |
---|
Dew (Japanese: デュー Dew) was a thief from Verdane. He was captured and arrested by Verdane's Prince Gandolf and imprisoned in Marpha Castle, but was freed by Prince Jamke along with Adean and joined Sigurd's army in fighting in Verdane, Agustria and beyond until his presumed demise in the Battle of Belhalla.
Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War
Role
When Jamke came to Marpha Castle to free Adean from imprisonment, she implored him to release Dew too, and in exchange he promised Adean that he was done with his thievery.[1] Jamke let the two free outside Marpha before leaving to confront his father, and Dew and Adean fled the area to join up with Sigurd's army as it invaded Verdane to rescue Adean.

Personality and character
Dew was something of a fast talker with a positive attitude. He thoroughly enjoyed his practice as a thief, both the actual crimes and the subsequent spoils,[2] but still tried to cover it up when asked (if not particularly well).[3] Even though he promised Adean that he would cease his thievery after being released from Marpha, he persisted in doing so anyway, if in a manner somewhat shy of letting her know of it. In the prelude to the Battle of Belhalla, he could sense the sombre attitude everyone else in the army bore as they fought, and while he himself was marginally less sombre about it he nonetheless felt the need to make amends with Jamke before the end.[4]

- In Chapter 5, if they are lovers, Lachesis can talk to Dew after Phinora Castle has been seized, yielding no reward.
