Death (Japanese: デス Death) is a black magic spell appearing exclusively in Fire Emblem Gaiden and its remake, Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. Death is a powerful mid-range spell without special effects; in Gaiden and vanilla Echoes, Death is wielded exclusively by enemy units, with a DLC package required in order for the player to legitimately wield Death for themselves. Contrary to the spell's name, it is possible to survive a hit of Death.
