The Dark Knight (Japanese: ダークナイト Dark Knight) is an advanced mounted class debuting in Fire Emblem Awakening. It is one of the class change options available to Mages and Dark Mages, and functions very similarly to the Mage Knight class of the Jugdral games as a mixed class with access to both physical weapons and magic, making it ideal for them to attack enemies on their weaker defensive stat. Its physical and magical offensive stats are roughly balanced, leaning slightly more toward magic than strength, and it has decent defensive stats with its defense being its highest stat overall.

Trivia
- In Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, there is an unrelated unused class also called "Dark Knight". Able to wield lances, it uses the sprites of the Cavalier as placeholders for its own graphics, which were never completed.[1]
