The Chancellor (Japanese: 宰相チャンセラー Chancellor) is a third-tier advanced magic-wielding class which is exclusive to Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. The only unit of this class is Sephiran, as both the game's penultimate boss and its final recruitable playable character, and the class is similar to the Saint class available to common units. It wields light magic, dark magic, and staves, making it one of only two playable classes with access to dark magic.

As a result of being the personal class of a late-game boss, Chancellors are statistically by far the strongest magical class in Radiant Dawn. They possess immense stats in every category except strength and defense, and even its defense is respectable when combined with the Rudol Gem item which Sephiran holds as a boss. In particular, their colossal magic and speed stats combined with Sephiran's signature tome, Creiddylad, ensures that he hits very hard and is very difficult to double-attack.

Chancellor

A chancellor is a high-ranking position in various governments, although its responsibilities vary with some states using it as the title of their head of state, while others simply assign it an important politician in direct service to the actual head of state. It should be noted that the script of Radiant Dawn usually refers to Sephiran as a "prime minister" rather than a "chancellor", although both are valid translations of the same Japanese term.
