The Cerberus (Japanese: ケルベス Kelbeth) is a class which is exclusive to Fire Emblem Gaiden. It is one of two enemy-only variations of the Dread Fighter class, the other being the Naberius, and shares all of its stats with standard Dread Fighters. A single Cerberus appears in Gaiden's final Act alongside one Naberius.
In the remake, Cerberus is now a character under the Dread Fighter class.

Role
Cerberus appears in the final battle, defending Duma, like in Gaiden. He is just as mysterious as he was in Gaiden, as no one addresses him and he has no dialogue. It is possible he was sacrificed to Duma or underwent a related ritual and became some unknown parallel to a witch, as he expresses similar physical traits to witches, including a pale complexion and eyes with black sclera and white irises.

Trivia
- In Fire Emblem Gaiden, the Cerberus is classified as a Dread Fighter, with Cerberus being the unit's name. This trait is shared with the White Dragon, Lich, Deathgoyle, Entombed, Fiend, Aurum, Naberius, and Hades.
- Cerberus is the Japanese name of the Gwyllgi class from The Sacred Stones, a monster based on the mythological Cerberus.
