Ced (セティ Sety), dubbed the "Wind User", was a member of the Twelve Crusaders, the original wielder of the Book of Forseti and the founder of the Kingdom of Silesse.

Biography

As with the other Crusaders, Ced was a warrior fighting in a revolution against the tyranny of the Lopt Empire, and was one of the many survivors barricaded in Darna Fortress when the tide turned against their movement. It was at this fortress that the Miracle of Darna occurred, changing the tide of the war: Ced was chosen by the Divine Dragon Forseti, and with him underwent a blood bond, transforming him into one of the Crusaders. Forseti then bestowed upon Ced his power, in the form of the Book of Forseti, to wield in the war; the tome was imbued with Forseti's own will and passion for the good of mankind, and so Ced's personality was strongly influenced by Forseti while wielding the tome, though it is not known if this was in the form of outright possession by Forseti as his descendant Lewyn later experienced. [1]

With the other Crusaders, Ced fought in the rest of the Holy War and contributed to the downfall of the Lopt Empire. At the war's conclusion, Ced founded Silesse and reigned as its first king.

  1. "Forseti was younger and held a higher level of good will and sympathy for the humans compared to other dragons. If he had the chance, he would even reside at Jugdral and protect the humans there. However, he was convinced by Naga that it was silly to stay, so he had no choice but to return to Archanea. Still, his passion and will was inherited strongly within the wind magic tome Forseti. For this reason, the humans who inherit the Forseti tome inherit Forseti's will as well as his power." - Designers' notes from a Genealogy of the Holy War playing guide, as translated by Serenes Forest
