Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem

The Broken Axe is an axe appearing exclusively in the SNES installments of the Fire Emblem series. Whenever an axe in any of those games reaches 0 remaining uses, it will become a Broken Axe. A Broken Axe can continue to be wielded, but has low accuracy and might along with high weight.

The Broken Axe can then be repaired by the Hammerne staff in Mystery of the Emblem, at a weapon repair shop in Genealogy of the Holy War, and by the Repair staff in Thracia 776. Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light and all games subsequent to Thracia 776 do not include the Broken Axe, and instead have axes whose uses deplete simply removes them from the inventory.
