Bridge Key
From Fire Emblem Wiki, your source on Fire Emblem information. By fans, for fans.
The Bridge Key (Japanese: はね橋のカギ Bridge Key) is a key-type item introduced in Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light. It can be used once by any unit to unlock and release drawbridges, in order to allow units to cross the bridge; without using a Bridge Key, only Thieves can otherwise unlock drawbridges.

Bridge Key. The item name has been spelled three slightly different ways throughout the series; all three are pronounced the same way and have the same meaning. • The first, purely hiragana spelling is used from Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light to Thracia 776. • The second, combined hiragana and kanji spelling is used in its unused state in The Binding Blade. • The third spelling, with a combination of hiragana, katakana and kanji, is used in the Nintendo DS remakes.
