Sword

First game

Fire Emblem Gaiden

The Brave Sword is an uncommon sword-type weapon in the Fire Emblem series. With a very unremarkable might and an average number of uses, this weapon's main appeal is that allows the user to double the number of hits they would normally deliver in a round of combat.

A sword commonly known among fans by the Brave Sword's Japanese name, Hero Sword, first appeared in Fire Emblem Gaiden, acting more akin to the Killing Edge than its more familiar later form. The Brave Sword gained its modern mechanics in its second appearance, Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War; it has appeared in every game of the series since then.
