The Brave Sword (Japanese: 勇者の剣 Hero's Sword) is an uncommon sword-type weapon in the Fire Emblem series. With a very unremarkable might and an average number of uses, this weapon's main appeal is that allows the user to double the number of hits they would normally deliver in a round of combat.
It first appeared in Fire Emblem Gaiden, acting more akin to the Killing Edge than its more familiar later form; this appearance and its remake are the only appearances of the Brave Sword where it doesn't serve as a brave weapon. The Brave Sword gained its modern mechanics in its second appearance, Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War; it has appeared in every game of the series since then.
