Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light

The Bow (Japanese: ゆみ Bow) is a bow-type weapon in the Fire Emblem series. It initially appeared only in the two NES installments of the series, its role in later games being taken by the Iron Bow and the Bronze Bow, before finally reappearing in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, twenty-five years after its previous appearance in the series.

In Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light, it is the most basic bow, featuring a weapon level of 1. In Fire Emblem Gaiden and again in Shadows of Valentia, it is the basic weapon for Archers, Snipers, and Bow Knights, and one of two basic weapon choices for Heroes, with no base might of its own but being wieldable without otherwise having a weapon equipped. The Bow has an extended range compared to its counterparts in other weapon types, being able to hit between one and three tiles away in Gaiden and between one and two tiles in Shadows of Valentia, making bow users able to attack and counterattack adjacent enemies.
