Blade Lord
| ||||||
|
The Blade Lord (Japanese: ブレイドロード Bladelord) is an advanced lord-type class exclusive to Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade. It is the final class of Lyn, one of the game's lead characters, promoting from her character-specific Lord variation class by use of a Heaven Seal. With access to both swords and bows, the class possesses a very similar statistical build and stylistic flavouring to the Swordmaster, with elements of the Nomadic Trooper.
The Blade Lord possesses average-to-high statistical caps across the board, with an emphasis on skill and speed; with only minor variations, it shares these caps with male Swordmasters. The class - and by extension, Lyn - also has exclusive access to two unique weapons: the anti-cavalry and anti-armor Mani Katti, and the anti-wyvern Sol Katti. The class's access to bows also provides it with a degree of greater versatility, though the low starting weapon rank and the access to exclusive weapons does lower the chances of this access proving to be of much use in most scenarios.

Trivia
- When using the Sol Katti, the class sports a unique battle animation; this did not exist in the Japanese version of the game and was designed and implemented only in international releases.
- In leaked prototype builds of Fire Emblem, the Blade Lord has a unique battle animation for using the Durandal, which does not exist in the final game. Interestingly, as Lyn still cannot use the Durandal in these builds, the animation remains nonetheless normally inaccessible; this suggests that the idea of Lyn being given access to the Durandal herself was pursued early on to the point of the relevant animation being completed, but was scrapped at a similarly early stage.
