The Black Eagle House (Japanese: 黒鷲の学級アドラークラッセ, Black Eagle Class, Adlerklasse) is one of the titular three houses at the Garreg Mach Monastery in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. This house is comprised of students from the Adrestian Empire and is headed by the imperial princess Edelgard. Students from Adrestia typically favor axes and magic.

Meanwhile, the Black Eagle Strike Force (Japanese: 黒鷲遊撃軍シュヴァルツァアドラーヴェーア, Black Eagle Strike Force, Schwarze Adlerwehr) is an elite military force of the Adrestian Empire formed by ex-students from 1180's Black Eagle House and its teacher during the Crimson Flower branch of the Black Eagles route.

History: Class of 1180

Since the beggining of the year, multiple students residing in the Adrestian Empire enroll into the monastery and join the Black Eagle House, studying and fighting along the way. Depending on the player's choices, Byleth can potentially become the house's teacher.

On Silver Snow and if recruited on the Azure Moon and Verdant Wind routes, the previous students of the house sans Edelgard and Hubert —who abandon the monastery in 1181— reunite with Byleth in 1185 on the day of the millennium festival, join their chosen faction and accompany them throughout the war against Adrestia, with most members renouncing their noble titles in the process. Meanwhile on the Crimson Flower route, Byleth defects to the Empire after siding with Edelgard in 1181 and all members of the house escape the monastery. In an Imperial fort, the new Emperor creates the Black Eagle Strike Force which, while acting as the Empire's elite military squad in their endeavors against the Church of Seiros, the Leicester Alliance and the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus from that point onward, is not officially founded up until their teacher's return in 1185 by Edelgard and Hubert.

If not recruited on the Azure Moon and Verdant Wind routes, all members will remain at Edelgard's side during the war, protect Adrestian-occupied locations and fight in the War at Gronder against Byleth's chosen faction.

  • Unlike the other houses, none of the Black Eagles are descendants of the 10 Elites.
