The Black Beast is a monster class which debuted in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. It is an enormous, grotesque creature, and the first monster Byleth and company encounter. The creature's identity is Miklan, who was forcibly transformed into it when he attempted to use the Lance of Ruin, despite not having the appropriate crest to do so.

Though the Black Beast lacks proper programmed stats, the game's sole Black Beast is physically strong, having high strength as well as three large health bars, which are bolstered further by its decent defense and resistance. However, it has very low speed and poor movement, and, like most monsters in the game, its large size prevents it from moving through one-space-wide areas, further limiting its mobility.
