The Sword of Seals is a blade used by Roy. It is his signature weapon, and uses it in both Fire Emblem: Fūin no Tsurugi and Super Smash Bros. Melee.

Overview

Fūin no Tsurugi

In Fire Emblem: Fūin no Tsurugi, the Sword of Seals was the second sword used by the Legendary Hero Hartmut. The Sword was used to end the Scouring, a war between humans and exiled dragons, by sealing the Dark Dragon. The SoS appears to react to the emotions of the wielder, can generate fire, healing the wielder and unleashing long-range attacks using the previously mentioned fire.

The Sword of Seals becomes available to the player in Chapter 22. Awakened by the Fire Emblem, it reacts to Roy which changes his class to "Master Lord". The weapon is very good in combat due to being able to attack twenty five times regardless of attacks being direct or not. It could also heal Roy. Lastly, the weapon has increased effectiveness against all dragon-type units (war dragons, wyvern riders, mamkutes, etc.). Also, at the end of the extended campaign, Roy uses the Sword of Seals to seal away the power of Dark Priestess/Dragon Idoun.

Super Smash Bros. Melee

In the game Super Smash Bros. Melee, a fighting spin off involving Nintendo characters, the Sword of Seals is seen in action once again with Roy. The sword is used in nearly every single attack of Roy's, save for some pummel and throwing related attacks. The sword retains fire power in some of it's attacks, however cannot heal.
