Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade

Bartre appears with Dorcas in Chapter 11 in Eliwood's Tale, and Chapter 12 in Hector's Tale. Coming out of a nearby village after being told that Lord Eliwood was passing through. Realizing the Eliwood's small army, may need help fighting off the bandits, Bartre and Dorcas join the fight.
Later, in Hector's Chapter 31x. He once again meets, the sword-wielding woman that knocked him out at the Western Isles, Karla. Seeking revenge Bartre challenges Karla to battle. Karla luckily agrees to a battle at the arena. After the fact, when Karla asks how he got stronger, he explains that he has been traveling with Eliwood's army. Analysis
This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience. |
Bartre is probably the best Warrior you can get in Blazing Sword, unless you play Hector's Tale on Hard Mode, I'll get in to that later. In Normal Mode, compared to Dorcas, Bartre is usually consider better. If you go for Bartre, your basically going for better defense and speed with slightly less strength. You'll be less likely to get double-attacked, and have a unit that can be in front lines more.
It's another story in Hector's Tale on Hard Mode. Dorcas isn't a great unit in this either, but Geitz gets some bonuses to his stats. Geitz is also a level 3 Warrior when you get him, as well as having a high weapon rank in bows.
In my opinion, the scaling of the Warriors would go like this.
Eliwood/Hector's Tale - Bartre > Dorcas > Geitz
Hector's Tale (Hard Mode) - Geitz > Dorcas > Bartre
Fire Emblem Heroes
Role
Bartre is one of the characters available to be summoned by players from the game's initial launch. Only one variation of Bartre is currently available in Heroes, based on his The Binding Blade incarnation.

Trivia
- Oddly, Bartre's ending in The Blazing Blade specifies that he joins Karla in death after taking Fir to her uncle, when he lives on to star in The Binding Blade. Bartre "joining" Karla is not said or implied in the Japanese version and is a translation error.[1]
- Bartre has an unused portrait in Fire Emblem Awakening, possibly indicating he was a planned SpotPass character.
- In Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade, Bartre's growths are identical to Dozla's from Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones.
