It will work out. Reinforcements will be arriving soon. Once they're here, I want you to end this farce at once!
— Balmer

Balmer is the boss of Chapter 7 of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. He is in charge of the battalion of Daein soldiers that fights the Greil Mercenaries in Fort Meritenne. He, like other Daein generals, is confident in his abilities as a fighter, particularly with respect to his talent for magic. When his soldiers begin to fall in battle, he remarks at how embarrassing they can be, but remains calm nonetheless.

Petrine put him in charge of the soldiers combating with Ike and company while she engaged in a duel with Greil. He was to make sure that none of the Crimean vermin escaped alive, and apparently was expecting reinforcements.

Balmer

A name for a person who worked as a Palmer. The surname Balmer was originally derived from the Old French word Palmer, which was taken from the Latin word palmifer meaning palm bearer. In this case the original bearer of the surname was a pilgrim who carried palm branches back from the Holy Land. In early history the name Balmer represented a missionary.[1]
