Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light

The (Japanese: おの Axe) is a axe-type weapon in the Fire Emblem series. It initially appeared only in the two NES installments of the series, its role in later games being taken by the Iron Axe and the Bronze Axe, before finally reappearing in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, twenty-five years after its previous appearance in the series.

In Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light, it is the most basic axe, featuring a weapon level of 1. It is the only axe to appear in Fire Emblem Gaiden, and it is wielded by only a single enemy-only class, the Brigand. Shadows of Valentia expands the axe roster compared to Gaiden and features the Axe as the basic axe available to the game's axe-wielding classes--in this case, the Brigand, Titan, and Deimos.
