Anna/Awakening

From Fire Emblem Wiki, your source on Fire Emblem information. By fans, for fans.

In Fire Emblem Awakening, Anna's role is greatly expanded compared to previous games. Awakening established Anna to have multiple sisters with nearly identical appearances and the same name, and was the first game to feature Anna as a playable character.

Look, I'd love to live in a rainbow-sprinkle world where money didn't matter, too. But it's important to be realistic about things, even when reality isn't pretty.
— Anna, to Robin

Fire Emblem Awakening

Role

Anna reprises her role as the traveling merchant who occasionally appears on the world map. In this game, it is explained how Anna makes multiple appearances: she has many sisters, all named Anna.

One Anna appears in Paralogue 2, trying to protect a village from a band of thieves led by Victor. Once Victor is defeated, this Anna thanks the Shepherds for the help.

Another Anna sister appears in Paralogue 4, being targeted by Victor's brother, Vincent. If Chrom talks to Anna, she will agree to join the Shepherds once the paralogue is complete.

Depending on which paralogue was done first, Chrom will think the second Anna he helped was the same one he helped before, but she clarifies that the other Anna is her sister.

If Anna is unmarried at the end of the game, she will leave the Shepherds to continue her merchant life.

Another version of Anna serves as the game's ultimate superboss, fighting the player at the end of the secret route of Apotheosis.

Analysis

This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience.

Anna's joining chapter appears somewhat early in the game; combining that with her being a prepromoted Trickster with above-average stats for that point in the game makes Anna all but essential on the harder difficulties of Awakening, especially early game. Anna's healing and thief utility will be occasionally useful, but her main attribute is her higher than average strength and speed, allowing her to reliably dodge most early game Axe and Sword users. Even after her stats fall off in the mid-to-lategame, she can continue to contribute with healing support.

Overall Anna is a very good character for when she joins and can prove to be a valuable unit throughout the course of the game due to her starting above most other characters.

Fire Emblem Heroes

Role

Main article: Anna/Heroes

Two of the versions of Anna in Heroes are based on her appearance in Awakening: Anna: Secret Seller is based on her appearance as the boss of Apotheosis's secret route; and Anna: Secret Charmer is a wedding variation credited to Awakening. Additionally, Anna: Twice the Anna is a Halloween-themed Harmonized hero with Anna from Engage and Anna from Awakening (in her playable appearance) dressed as each other.

Endings

Anna, Secret Seller (single ending)
With nary a word, Anna left the others and returned to her free-spirited merchant life. She was later sighted across the continent, haggling with suppliers and beating down the cost of goods.

Robin, High Deliver & Anna, Secret Seller
Many wrote of Robin's legendary exploits, but accounts of his origins and character varied. Scholars, poets, and bards agreed on one thing alone—he loved his wife, Anna, above all else.

Anna
NA: Anna is a bright, cheerful young merchant, but her true nature is clouded in mystery. She's very fixated on money and is a girl of many talents, but it wasn't until Fire Emblem Awakening that she became a playable character. There's still a lot we don't know about her—she likes to keep everybody guessing.
