Alm (アルム, Arumu) is a youth hailing from the village Ram in the southern peninsula of Barensia, the adoptive grandson of the famous retired knight Mycen and, for a time, the foster brother of Celica. When news reached Ram of General Dozeh's coup against Sofia, Alm and three of his friends volunteered to join the Sofian liberation force to oppose the invasion by neighboring Rigel; from there, Alm became a leader of the revolution, successfully fighting his way into Rigel itself. Toward the war's end, he learned of his true identity: Albyne Alm Rudolf (アルバイン・アルム・ルドルフ, Arbain Arumu Rudorufu), the only son and heir of King Rudolf of Rigel, and the cornerstone of Rudolf's gambit to free the world of the corrupting influence of the gods Mila and Duma.

Promotion stat gains
Class | HP | Str | Skill | Spd | Lck | Def | Res | Con | Mov | Weapon level |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Hero | +x to 36 | +x to 16 | +x to 14 | +x to 14 | +0 | +x to 10 | +0 | +0 | +1 | Bow |
- In Gaiden, promotion gains consist of giving the character as many points as necessary - the "x" value shown in the table - to reach the promoted class's base stats. If any given stat at the time of promotion is higher than their promoted class's base stat, there will not be a bonus for that stat; however, if all stats are higher, then they will receive +1 to HP.
Fire Emblem Awakening
In the ongoing war between the armies of Marth and Seliph in the Otherworld, Alm is an ally of Marth. When spirit talismans were misused to summon the spirits of legendary women as enemies, Alm worked with Marth and Ike to ally with Chrom's group to defeat them. Alm then appears as an enemy along with the other spirits of legendary men. Later, when Chrom's band lends its assistance to Seliph, Alm was the leader of Marth's army in this skirmish and was defeated; after the fight, he offered his spirit talisman to Chrom for his use.
