A Land in Bloom/Script
Alear and Alfred arrive in Firene after traveling from Lythos. Alear asks Alfred to tell them more about the kingdom, and he explains that it is a peace-loving kingdom of plenty. He further explains that its queen, Ève, achieved the kingdom's current peace by forming nonaggression pacts with the neighboring nations of Solm and Brodia, the latter of which being more difficult due to its king's tendency for attacking Elusia. Alfred also mentions that certain Elusians worship the Fell Dragon, which troubles Alear. The two then briefly discuss Firene's Emblem Ring—the Ring of the Caring Princess—and Alfred reveals that he has a sister, Céline.
Alear and Alfred reach Florra Mill Town, where they spot Corrupted attacking the residents. Amidst the chaos, Céline escapes to meet the group while her retainers, Louis and Chloé, hold off the monsters for her. She warns Alear's group that the Elusian army is attacking the castle, and tells that she was ambushed on her way to the port. When she recognizes Alear as the divine dragon, she offers the Emblem Ring, and they summon its Emblem, Celica, using an invocation. Alear entrusts the ring to Céline for the time being, and the group moves out to rescue Louis and Chloé. Midway through the battle, the crystal Alear picked up begins glowing, and Marth recognizes it as the Draconic Time Crystal, an artifact capable of reversing time.
After the battle, a single remaining Corrupted attempts to ambush Alear, but is destroyed by the magic of a girl named Veyle. Alear thanks her, and Marth suggests that that they escort her to somewhere safe, but she disappears almost immediately after. Céline then comes up to Alear to thank them, and the latter tries to assure her that they are not as godlike as they may have seemed. Before the group can depart the village, a pair of merchants—Durthon and Anisse—offer their services to Alear, who accepts the two onto the Somniel.

Strategy
This section details unofficial strategies that may help with completion of the chapter. This may not work for everybody. |
You unlock the ability to view support conversations at your new home base, the Somniel. Feel free to explore and get a feel for the lay of the land. If you have redeemed the Heroes bonus code (before 4/5/2023) or gotten the free DLC (afterwards), you get Fólkvangr, Fensalir, Nóatún, and Alfonse, Sharena, and Anna's Bond Rings. Make sure to pay a visit to the Bulletin Board to claim your Bond Fragments from the achievements you've acquired thus far. Your newcomers are Céline, Louis, and Chloé. Céline is another magic-wielder who can also use swords. Louis is your first armored unit, and makes a very good tank thanks to his immunity to breaking. Chloé is your first flier, and has good mobility, Speed, and Resistance. You also get access to Emblem Sigurd and Emblem Celica. Emblem Sigurd specializes in mobility, and synergizes well with cavalry and especially fliers. Emblem Celica is a magic-oriented Emblem who can warp behind enemy lines for a devastating attack. Just make sure not to overextend yourself. Finally, you unlock battle preparations, and can field every unit you have for this map. Fólkvangr and Fensalir obviously go to Alear and Alfred since they are the only ones who can use them. For Nóatún, Boucheron will need the added power on turn 1. As for Emblem Rings, keep Emblem Marth on Alear. Emblem Sigurd should go to Vander, as it helps his accuracy and bulk a bit and gives him an option against swords. Clanne should take Anna's Bond Ring to get him into doubling range, Alfred should take Alfonse for more damage, and Boucheron should take Sharena for a bit more Speed and Defense. Deploy your units in reading order: Boucheron, Alear, Framme, Etie, Alfred, Clanne, Vander.
On turn 1, have Alfred visit the village. This allows Céline to use Spur Attack to one-round the enemy Axe Armor. (If for some reason you didn't get Alfonse's Bond Ring, you can use Divinely Inspiring for the same effect.) Then have Vander break the southeast Lance Fighter so Clanne can finish it off. Then have Boucheron (with Nóatún) and Etie do the same to the northward Lance Fighter. Move Alear next to Boucheron and Framme northward. Louis will die if he is allowed to face the Mage in combat, so immediately kill it with Chloé's Slim Lance from the west. Finally, move Louis onto the fort. Note that forts confer immunity to breaking. On turn 2, you unlock the Draconic Time Crystal, which acts as the third incarnation of Mila's Turnwheel/Divine Pulse. Have Chloé kill the Surge Mage. Note that Surge has perfect accuracy and decent might in exchange for being locked to 1 range. Louis should hold the fort and attack targets of opportunity. Prioritize making sure the axe-wielders can't slip past him to reach Chloé. On the south side, neutralize the Lance Fighter and Archer and push eastward. Their goal is to break through and reunite with Louis and Chloé. If things get really ugly up north, you can use Emblem Celica's Warp Ragnarok to teleport Céline to them and delete an enemy. In the northeast, Alear can one-round the Axe Cavalier with Emblem Marth's Rapier while Etie can one-shot the Sword Flier with Divinely Inspiring. Have them push forward as well. Reinforcements appear on turn 4, but don't worry - they are placed in such a manner that they will likely have to fight Louis. The Sword Fliers that pop out of the southern and northwestern forts on turn 5, on the other hand, could be a pain. By the time the final reinforcements appear from the north on turn 7, you should have reunited your team in the center and collected the 2000G from the village. Use Louis to plug up the chokepoint while your ranged units deal with the enemies from behind him. On the enemy's turn 7, Rodine and his goons will aggro. Pull Louis back and replace him with Vander. On turn 9, break through the enemy's vanguard and use your mages to kill Rodine to win the battle.
After the battle, the game will explain adopting animals. The most important animals to adopt are dogs, since they provide metal ingots that can be used to refine weapons.
