Quotes

Battle quotes

I am Bryce, general of Daein!
— Bryce, in the Endgame of Path of Radiance.
Bryce: So you’re the enemy general, eh? You’re much younger than I had imagined.
Ike: My age matters not. The palace will be ours this day.
Bryce: We will not relinquish it so easily. But allow me to introduce myself as befits a warrior. I am Bryce of Daein.
Ike: And I am Ike of the Greil Mercenaries. Now... Let us begin!

— Bryce, when fighting Ike in the Endgame of Path of Radiance.
Ena... You, too, have had your fate warped by the king. You should pray that you at least know peace in your final moments.
— Bryce, when fighting Ena in the Endgame of Path of Radiance.
Bryce: Ah, Tauroneo... I see that you have found another path to follow. Perhaps you were inspired by my old friend Gawain.
Tauroneo: Tell me, Bryce. Beyond mountains of corpses, what do you see Ashnard bringing to the future of this place?
Bryce: ...I see nothing, save for a land of absolute darkness and terror.
Tauroneo: Then why fight by his side?
Bryce: Some men can change, Tauroneo. Others cannot... I am of the latter type. There is no other reason.

— Bryce, when fighting Tauroneo in the Endgame of Path of Radiance.

Death quote

...My strength...was not enough... I could not...protect...my homeland... Forgive me... Daein...
— Bryce, in the Endgame of Path of Radiance.
Ike: Your name was Bryce, was it not? You fought...a good fight.
Bryce: As...did you...Ike. I...commend you... Your style of fencing...is unique... Who was your teacher?
Ike: My father. Greil.
Bryce: I thought...I recognized that style. You truly are Gawain's... I see it...now... The resemblance...is strong...
Ike: Farewell, knight.

— Bryce, when defeated by Ike in the Endgame of Path of Radiance.

Trivia

Portrait bryce fe10.png
  • Bryce has an unused full version of his portrait redone in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn's style. A cropped version can be seen in the glossary.
  • Bryce is one of the few major characters to be left out of both 2017 and 2018 Choose Your Legends polls for Fire Emblem Heroes. A position Bryce shares with Shiharam also from Path of Radiance, and fellow Wishblade wielder, Levail from Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn.
  • Bryce is erroneously referred to as "Sir Bryan" in the ending cutscene of Chapter 20 in the North American version of Path of Radiance. This was fixed in the PAL version.
  • Bryce's medium portrait erroneously has his chin/lower lip outline open and close instead of his mouth. His large portrait has his mouth move correctly.
