Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light

Thoron (トロン Thoron) is a recurring magic tome of considerable power. Debuting in Ankoku Ryuu to Hikari no Tsurugi as an uncategorised tome, it was Genealogy of the Holy War which defined it as a thunder tome. In most of its appearances, it is roughly equivalent in power and esteem to Bolganone and Tornado, generally sharing the same weapon rank and accordingly acting as a thunder counterpart to their fire and wind roles.

In Archanea, Thoron is described as a tome inherited by Ellerean of Khadein, a counterpart to Merric's Excalibur; however, Ellerean never possesses the only copies in the games and any unit can use the tome. Similarly the Archanea remake duology, Shadow Dragon and New Mystery of the Emblem, also establish another copy of Thoron as a tome belonging to Bishop Boah of Archanea; here, the tome was taken from Boah by Volzhin during the occupation of Archanea, but was recovered under unspecified circumstances by Camus, who returned it to Boah via Marth. Years later, at the climax of the War of Heroes, Boah gave his copy to Marth as he died.
