Artwork of a horseslayer from the TCG.

A lance effective against cavalry.

Type

Lance

First game

Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light

The Ridersbane (also known as Horseslayer or Knight Killer) is a fairly common lance-type weapon in the Fire Emblem series. While it is not that powerful, its main advantage is its bonus damage against horseback units, such as cavaliers and paladins.

The ridersbane made its first appearance in Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light and it has been available in all games of the series but Awakening, where it is replaced by the Beast Killer.
