“ | Please, Ephraim...I will be fine. There's no need for you to worry. Mine is the easiest task, and I'll be in no danger. | ” | — Eirika, at the route split, unaware her intended route ran through Melkaen Coast |

Melkaen Coast (Japanese: メレカナ海岸 Melkana Coast) is the location of a skirmish-only map in Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, the only standalone skirmish-only map in the game. Situated in northwestern Rausten and northwest of Rausten Court, Melkaen Coast is home to powerful enemies when skirmishes appear in the area. Melkaen Coast opens for skirmishes after the completion of Chapter 19.
Although the story as it played out did not go through Melkaen Coast, Eirika's intended route to Rausten is likely to have gone through Melkaen Coast had she not been forced to detour toward Jehanna.

Note: As Melkaen Coast is a skirmish-only map, the returning character listing consist of those available at the point the map is first unlocked. Characters unlocked in Creature Campaign are allowed to participate in this map once unlocked.
Item data
As Melkaen Coast is a skirmish-only map, most items possibly obtainable on this map are determined through random means not specific to this map. There is an Elder Bael in the northeast part of the map that always holds an item, and that Elder Bael runs on an algorithm specific to this map. Provided the Elder Bael is equipped with a Sharp Claw*, it will drop the item; if the Elder Bael is equipped with a Lethal Talon*, the player will have to steal that item, preferably with a rogue. The following table applies solely to this specific Elder Bael, and does not apply to any other enemies or items potentially obtainable.
