The Mauthe Doog class (モーサドゥーグ, Moosa Duugu, known as Mauthedoog in Japan) is a monster class exclusive to Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. They appear to be monstrous canine beasts, which almost always use Fiery Fang. They are an enemy-only class, since they are monsters. Mauthe doogs are quite easy to defeat because of their low HP, but their high skill and speed let them hit often and accurately. Also, their high movement allows them to quickly move to attack characters.

Although they are only enemies, the Gwyllgi class appears to be a promoted version of the Mauthe Doog class.

Its name comes from "mauthedoog", a demonic hound of folklore; if one sees the mauthedoog, he is likely to die.[1]
