Light Priestess (巫女, Miko), known in Japan as the Shaman (シャーマン, Shaaman) is a class exclusive to FE10. Using light magic and staves, the Light Priestess is the final class of the major character Micaiah, in a three-class promotion line - she starts as a Light Mage, then becomes a Light Sage, and finally finishes in the Light Priestess class.

The Japanese name links the class to the Shaman class of FE4 and FE5, in which shamans were female sister-like users of light and staves. The name was likely changed for international release to avoid confusion with the dark magic-using class present in the Game Boy Advance games released worldwide - Blazing Sword and The Sacred Stones.

Trivia
* The Light Priestess is one of only five playable classes in Radiant Dawn whose members can achieve multiple SS ranks. The others are the Saint, Vanguard, Chancellor and Black Knight.
* The Light Priestess's Japanese katakana name links the class to the Shaman class of FE4 and Thracia 776, in which Shamans were female Cleric-like users of light magic and staves; "shaman" is also historically used as an English translation for the class's kanji name. The name was likely changed in localization to avoid confusion with the dark magic-using class present in FE7 and The Sacred Stones, as unlike Genealogy and Thracia, these games were released internationally.

The Light Priestess (Japanese: 巫女シャーマン Shaman) is a third-tier advanced Lord-like class which is exclusive to Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. The only unit of this class is Micaiah, one of the game's two protagonists, and it is her final class and the ultimate form of her initial Light Mage class; Micaiah promotes from Light Sage to Light Priestess in an event near the end of the game. As a Light Priestess, Micaiah is able to wield light magic and staves.

With strong light magic as well as the utility of staves to aid allies, Micaiah has a mix of offensive and defensive capabilities as a Light Priestess. Her magical power and resistance are among the best in the game, but she still suffers from mediocre HP, bad speed and a dismal defense stat. Micaiah herself has the Sacrifice skill, which allows her to cut her own HP to heal an ally. This, while useful, can be risky, and combined with her poor defensive stats she is generally a very vulnerable unit. Micaiah compensates partially for this by being immune to being attacked by numerous endgame enemies and bosses.
