Intelligent Systems is a first party video game developer for Nintendo and is the primary producer of the Fire Emblem series. Originally started when a single person, Toru Naruhiro, was hired by Nintendo to help port games for the Famicon Disk System over to the standard cartridges used in other regions. The company's first game was released in 1984; the game being Devil World.
