'Fire Emblem: Monshou no Nazo' is the third game installment in the Fire Emblem series. It features two sections, titled "Books". Book 1 is a remake of Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light, the first game in the series starring Marth of Altea. Book 2 takes place two years after Book 1, pitting Marth against his former ally, the now possessed Emporer Hardin of Archanea, and the resurrected Earth Dragon Medeus. An enhanced remake of Book 2, Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem, was released in Japan in 2010.
